Battle Sheets

Player 1 was Christopher and Player 2 was me.

LI: to investigate coordinnates

This week for maths we played a game called Battle Sheets. Battle Sheets is the same to Battle Ships but different because it's on a Google Spreadsheet. We had to play with a person. I battled Christopher and I won. What you have to do is you have to place your ships anywhere. There is a Aircraft Carrier,Battleship,Cruiser,Destroyer and a Frigate. Your partner that your playing with is not allowed to look at your battleships or else they will keep on hitting you and you might hit or miss.

LI: to investigate 2D and 3D shape
LI: to understand flip, slide and turn

For Maths we had to create a DLO and find 11 things and see how many Faces,Edges and Vertices there are like a book that has 2 faces, 4 edges and 4 vertices. What was difficult was the edges. What I need to improve are edges.

Jean Batten

 Jean Batten

Jean Batten is a famous aviator. She is special to New Zealand because she’s from New Zealand. Jean Batten broke and set many records. When Batten died the airports workers tried to put her gipsy moth plane on the top and it worked. Now when you go to the airport you will see Jean Batten’s plane.

Travel Measurements

LI: to understand units of measurement
LI: to understand units of measurement

For maths we had to crate a map and find 5 different places and measure them like New Zealand to America. In the task I measured Panmure Bridge school to Mt Wellington. What was difficult was measuring. What I need to improve is my measurements.
